Our History & Long Term Vision

David’s Temple is a fairly new presence in Simcoe County. The vision of David’s Temple was begun almost years ago when Damian Spaulding recognized the need for The David’s Temple style of environment in our community as well as across all of North America. It is with this final goal in mind that we decided to create a unique and successful Open Mic Night at Alfanoos Mediterranean Restaurant as a “proof of concept” for Davids Temple.

Building upon the success of our present Open Mic Nights, we have chosen to host the first “Christian” Open Mic Nights in our area using our the already successful community format we have developed for Alfanoos. Excitement regarding our new Open Mic Nights is quite high and we are looking for ward to great community involvement in order to make this night and many other nights possible. Our community is simply starving for a venue like David’s Temple and as our team and sponsorship involvement grows, Davids Temple will become more of a perminant reality in our community and abroad.
At each Open Mic Night, individuals within our community openly share their talents and gifts whether they be poetry, art, music, drama or more.

Our Open Mic nights are the first step toward creating our first full time Restaurant / Coffeehouse facility in Barrie Ontario. This facility will reflect the cultural uniqueness of Barrie and Simcoe County and will directly further the work of Christ by creating a save environment where Christians can love and support one another, fellowship with friends and family and even minister to the open public in our dynamic environment.
